Counselling Psychology

At Restorative Whole Health, we believe that mental wellbeing is an essential part of whole-person care. Our therapy team is composed of a Registered Psychologist and a Clinical Counsellor who both offer modern, authentic, evidence-based counselling experiences.

Depending on individual needs, we offer single and multi-session models that blend talk therapy with practical interventions, meeting you exactly where you’re at. Whether you’re looking for focused, one-time guidance, short term support, or continuous care, our therapy team provides a safe and compassionate space for you to feel understood and supported.

At Restorative, both our psychologists and counsellors provide counselling. The difference lies in credentials, approaches, and scope of practice:

  • Psychologists are registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Their training typically includes doctoral-level education, research, and clinical practice. They can provide counselling as well as psychological assessments, and their fees often follow the guidelines of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta.

  • Certified Counsellors are registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Their training emphasizes therapeutic relationship and evidence-based counselling methods. They focus on ongoing support through talk therapy and do not typically provide formal psychological assessments.

Choosing the Right Model of Care
Every person’s journey looks different. At Restorative, we offer options to meet you where you are.
